Weʼre raising £700 to fundraise for Ubuntu Women Shelter

Issue 145 is the new charity summer e-issue by qmunicate, the official magazine of Queen Margaret Union at Glasgow University. It was created in collaboration with Ubuntu Women Shelter -an inclusive Glasgow based charity organisation with a no borders ethos devoted to supporting and protecting migrant, refugee and asylum-seeker womxn who have faced destitution and/or human rights loss at the hands of the UK’s immigration system. Our issue is a collaborative work of student journalism including a selection of articles from all of our sections: from Features to Lifestyle, from News and Politics to Arts and Culture, Film and Music. Additionally, it features a series of poems and prose pieces from qmunicate’s latest Creative Writing anthology following the theme of nostalgia and sentimentality. It also contains a number of visual submissions from local artists and photographers. qmunicate is proud to have the fruit of our team and contributors’ collective creative effort help increase support for such a fantastic charity and the incredible work they do.
